hi, I’m Nicki Patel.
I am an abstract and intuitive artist living in the quiet outskirts of the hill country in Texas, where slow mornings, soft light, and the presence of animals shape the rhythm of my work.
my approach
I create not from instruction, but from feeling.
Each piece begins as a moment—an emotion, a memory, a sensation that asks to be seen. Through layered mixed media, I translate the intangible into form, allowing color, texture, and movement to speak where words cannot. My artwork is left unnamed, an open doorway rather than a definition, inviting each person to meet themselves within the piece and uncover a story entirely their own.
My work lives at the intersection of joy and healing.
What once moved through me as grief has been alchemized into something gentler—a devotion to creating spaces where people (and animals) can feel held, softened, and at ease. This intention flows into No Bad Days Collective, a living extension of my art, where creativity, emotional connection, and animal communication come together as a sanctuary for calm, joy, and presence.
Deeply inspired by my dogs, Milo and Miles, I see the world through a lens of quiet companionship and unconditional love. This perspective weaves itself into everything I create—a reminder that there is beauty in slowing down, in feeling deeply, and in allowing life to be both tender and expansive at once.
My work is not meant to tell you what to see.
It is meant to help you remember what you feel.
